Our Commitment
EXIT is specifically committed to the human right of dignity and self-determination the way it is expressed in a living will or in a self-determined death.
These rights are guaranteed by the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (ECHR) and the Federal Constitution of the Swiss Confederation, and are additionally backed by the Swiss Federal Court Decision BGE 133 | 58.
The commitment of EXIT has a political and legal side to it, too. Much of the society's time and money goes toward the endorsement of a person's right to self-determination.
EXIT maintains contact with political parties of Switzerland, Members of the Swiss Parliament, and the Swiss Government, providing information and involving itself in all relevant political issues to further our cause.
For more than 30 years, EXIT has had a strong commitment in palliative care through its foundation palliacura.
Ultimately, though, the commitment of EXIT is always dedicated first and foremost to its members.
